Hepatitis B and C

Hepatitis B and C

Hepatitis B and C are serious viral infections that affect the liver, potentially leading to chronic liver disease, cirrhosis, and liver cancer if left untreated. At Narayana Health, our experienced team, led by Dr. Sanjay Kumar Yadav, provides comprehensive care and advanced treatment options to manage and treat hepatitis B and C effectively.

Hepatitis B

Hepatitis B is caused by the hepatitis B virus (HBV) and is primarily spread through contact with infected blood, unprotected sex, and from mother to child during childbirth. It can lead to both acute and chronic liver infections.

Hepatitis C

Hepatitis C is caused by the hepatitis C virus (HCV) and is mainly transmitted through blood-to-blood contact, such as sharing needles, unscreened blood transfusions, and sometimes through sexual contact. It often progresses to a chronic condition, leading to severe liver damage over time.
