Pancreatic Cancer

Pancreatic cancer is a malignant tumor of the pancreas. It is known for its aggressive nature and often requires prompt, specialized treatment. Symptoms may include jaundice, abdominal pain, weight loss, and digestive issues.

Gall Bladder Cancer

Gall bladder cancer is a rare but serious condition that affects the gall bladder. Early detection is challenging, and symptoms often include abdominal pain, jaundice, nausea, and vomiting.

Whipple Procedure (Pancreaticoduodenectomy)

The Whipple procedure is the most common surgery for pancreatic cancer. It involves the removal of the head of the pancreas, part of the small intestine, the gall bladder, and the bile duct. This complex surgery is performed to remove the tumor and affected tissues.

Distal Pancreatectomy

A distal pancreatectomy involves the removal of the body and tail of the pancreas. It is typically performed when the tumor is located in these areas and may also involve the removal of the spleen.

Total Pancreatectomy

In cases where the entire pancreas is affected, a total pancreatectomy may be necessary. This surgery involves the complete removal of the pancreas, along with parts of the stomach, small intestine, bile duct, and gall bladder.

Cholecystectomy

A cholecystectomy is the surgical removal of the gall bladder. It is the primary treatment for gall bladder cancer and can be performed using traditional or minimally invasive techniques.

Bile Duct Resection

Bile duct resection involves the removal of parts of the bile duct affected by cancer. This surgery aims to restore normal bile flow and remove the cancerous tissue.
